DMEA: No Rate Increase in 2011 Expected

The board of directors of the Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) voted unanimously at their Nov. 16, 2010 meeting to NOT increase the co-ops rates in 2011.
Our board has our member-owners best interests at heart. This is the third year in a row that DMEA has not raised rates for our residential and small business members, noted Dan McClendon, DMEAs general manager. Were also fortunate that during this period of rate stability we were able to retirepay back--$1.5 million to our members in capital credits and also pursue projects in Delta and Montrose counties to increase system reliability and capacity.
