What makes Tara Performing Arts High School so remarkable? Were intentionally small, so all students get the attention they deserve. Academics are taught in intensive blocks, providing learning that is deep and thorough. Stage Combat and professional theatre attendance are as much a part of the curriculum as Algebra and Physics. In 4 years, students go (twice!) to NYC for a week of Broadway plays and great museums, they explore Anasazi lands with a Native American guide, and they travel in Austria and England for a month, experiencing firsthand the history, art, music and architecture theyve studied.
Performance is at the heart of all we do: creating ensemble in each class and the entire school as well as on stage, and building the confidence to stand up and sing out both literally and figuratively in all students, whatever their future plans. Our graduates are accepted at an impressive array of colleges and universities. And Tara is 100% substance-free.
