Hermosa Veterinary Clinic, originally opened in 1947, is one of the oldest practices in Denver, Colorado. Hermosa Veterinary Clinic is geared towards offering high quality and affordable veterinary care for your pet. Our north-central location is easily accessible from I-25 and I-70, just minutes from downtown Denver.

While our Havasu location is fairly new you can still expect high quality and affordable veterinary care for your pet. This location is just west of Hwy 95 on Aviation Dr. with a great view of the lake.

All the pages in this section contain the services that are common to both practices. For specialized services by location just click on Denver or Lake Havasu City

We have a general practice yet we specialize in knee and bone ortheopedic surgeries. Hermosa Veterinary Clinic also offers animal boarding facilities, a wide variety of science diet pet foods and canine breeding services, as well as cremation services to both veterinary clinics.

Our veterinary staff is fully qualified for all forms of pet care, from the basic well-visit checkups, 24 hour-a-day emergency vet care, orthopedic surgery, dental care and vaccinations. Our veterinary team works together to ensure your pet receives the best possible care.

Feather loss is as much of a concern to bird owners as hair loss is to dog and cat owners. The feathers of a bird provide protection, insulation, flight, and visual signals to other pets. While feather loss in birds is usually not fatal, it is nevertheless disturbing to owners. Occasionally, feather loss can be the sign of a serious internal condition.

What causes feather loss?
Feather loss either occurs because the bird is truly losing feathers or because the bird is picking its feathers. If the owner can tell which is occurring, it often helps narrow down the possibilities of what is causing the problem.
