Welcome to the web site of American Pride Co-op, the company that strives to be your "first choice!"
American Pride Co-op is a modern, diversified and successful farmer-owned cooperative that provides products and services to farmers and a wide variety of other customers in Colorado.
The company, which began as Adams County Consumers Cooperative Association, was founded early in 1936 when a group of local farmers decided to form a cooperative in Henderson to purchase fuel and oil products on their behalf. Later that year, the board of directors purchased a service station in Brighton and relocated the co-op. By 1946, the co-op had grown substantially and had expanded its sales to include groceries, appliances and feed. In 1956 the cooperative entered the propane business, and later entered the fertilizer business.
In 1975, the co-op relocated to its present location at 55 W. Bromley Lane in Brighton and expanded its retail businesses. Adams County Co-op became "American Pride Co-op" in 1991, and now serves its customers from locations in Brighton, Henderson, and Mead. Through a merger with the Longmont Co-op and acquisitions of competing propane, feed and fertilizer companies, the cooperative has continued to grow and expand, and is among the largest and most successful supply cooperatives in North America.
To be an innovative, profitable, efficient, environmentally sensitive company responsive to customer needs.
With more than 10,000 member-owners, American Pride Co-op has been a part of the community since 1936.
