Beckemeyer Development History
Beckemeyer Development was formed in 1985 to deliver consulting, training, and software development services with an emphasis on complex heterogeneous networks.
In 1995 Beckemeyer Development was acquired by EarthLink Network Inc, one of the fastest growing Internet service providers in the nation. Beckemeyer Development offered engineering services, networking services, and computer products.
During its ten year history, Beckemeyer Developent produced many products, including Micro C-Shell, a UNIX-like shell for MS-DOS, and Micro RTX, a real-time kernel for 68K processors, both of which had strong world-wide followings. The company had a well-established customer base, including major corporations, computer professionals, and universities.
EarthLink hired the founder of Beckemeyer Development, David Beckemeyer, to be its Vice President of Engineering.
