The Healing Arts Institute (HAI) is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, a college town offering outdoor recreation, a wonderful climate, an upbeat ambiance in a welcoming, diverse community. HAI is co-owned by Gary and Cheryl Salinger.

Gary Salinger has worked in the field of massage for 30 years. Inspired when his spinal curve reduced by 20 degrees, he developed his own method of massage and bodywork. Outlined in his book Body Insight Integrative Neuromuscular Therapy, this method serves as one of the HAI core teachings. Cheryl Salinger brings a background of Health Science, Business Management and Massage Therapy to HAI. Together, they offer a wealth of knowledge and experience.

When the Salingers founded HAI, they believed that by placing students on the path of self-discovery and using this knowledge to build safety and trust, graduates would have a competitive advantage in the massage therapy field. Based on this philosophy, HAI has offered a dynamic, imaginative, fun, personalized and experiential learning environment since its inception in 1991.
