Here is a little history about Greeley Colorado and some of its landmarks.
The Greeley Ice Haus, a Quality of Life Project approved by the voters in 2002, is Northern Colorado's premier indoor ice arena. This addition to Greeley's historic downtown was carefully designed so that its exterior facade reflects strong, rich traditional architecture while enclosing a state-of-the-art operation.
Blacksmithing at Centennial Village
Centennial Village is one of four
museums operated by the City of
Greeley. It opened in 1976 as a
Colorado Centennial project and
a U.S. Bicentennial project. The Village gives visitors a look at life in early Greeley and the High Plains from the 1860s to 1920s. The buildings showcase the architectural and cultural heritage of the first settlers.
Union Pacific Railroad Depot
This depot is the third depot which
has served Greeley, an agricultural community founded on the Denver
Pacific Railroad route. In 1880, the Denver Pacific Route was brought
under the umbrella organization of
the Union Pacific Railroad. The
railroad has played a very significant
role in the development of Greeley,
as it provided passenger service and freight service for shipping goods to Greeley and shipping produce and
cattle to urban centers.
Union Colony Civic Center
The Union Colony Civic Center is
Northern Colorado's state-of-the-
art performing arts center. The
UCCC provides Northern Colorado
and the surrounding areas with a
variety of the best local, regional
and national entertainment. From Broadway musicals, to comedy,
concerts, dance, plays and more,
there's always something exciting
coming to entertain you!
With our Priceless Pet Program,
we are cooperating with the non
profit local shelters, rescue groups,
and veterinarians who are coping
with an increasing number of
homeless animals. By raising
donations, we help provide
affordable spay and neutering,
micro chipping, and vaccinations.
We strongly encourage YOU to join us in an effort to find a solution to this growing problem. Every dollar donated is greatly appreciated. To learn about fostering an animal, adoption or other ways to help, call 970-351-0405, stop by our office or visit these web sites:
