"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me." Jeremiah 29:11-13

Welcome to Lutheran Church of Hope!
We invite you to join us for worship service at 9:00 Sunday mornings, for fellowship time, and children & adult Sunday School classes following the service.

Our Mission Statement
In response to His call, we glorify Him through the teaching of His Word that we may personally grow in Christ, make disciples for Christ and serve others, in love, through Christ.

Our Core Values
1. Jesus is true life. The rest is fluff. In the Gospel of John, 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by me." We believe and teach that Jesus Christ alone is our source of life and hope. By the power of His death for our sin, and His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ brings us into a right relationship with God. We share in His victory over sin, death, and the devil when we respond in repentance and faith to the call of Jesus to follow Him.
2. God is the creator of all things. Our universe, all things in it, and all that exits came into existance by the creative genius of our almighty God. We believe and confess that He created not only those things which are visible, but also that which is invisible. And He continues to sustain and preserve the whole creation.
3. There is only one God who exist in three persons. The Bible teaches us that God is one, but this God consists of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons are different from one another in the things they do, but all are equally God. All are eternal, almighty, all powerful, infinitely wise, and all knowing. This 'Triune God' is spirit, indivisible, full of love and goodness.
4. Man. God created the first man and woman in His image - spiritual beings without sin or fault. Unfortunately sin entered into the world and every human being since then is born sinful, and separated from God. Jesus was sent to reconcile a lost world to God (John 3:16). Those who don't know God matter to us because they matter infinitely more to God. Jesus can make all the difference in the lives of those who are separated from Him.
5. Baptism. The sacrament of baptism is a gift of God. We believe that in baptism God is the primary actor. He uses the water of baptism in connection with His word to bring about new life (I Peter 3:21). Through baptism we receive forgiveness of sin, incorporation into the body of Christ, and become partakers of His suffering, death, and resurrection to eternal life (Romans 6:3-11; I Corinthians 12:12-13).
6. The Lord's Supper. The sacrament of Holy Communion was instituted for the strengthening of the beliver's faith. We believe that through the Lord's Supper each participant receives the body and blood of Jesus Christ, and the repentant believer receives the forgiveness of sins as Jesus promises in Matthew 26:28. We also believe that participation in Holy Communion is a means of commemorating His death (I Corinthians 11:24-26).
7. The Church. The Church is the body of true believers in Jesus Christ. Each local congregation may consist of both hypocrits who pretend to believe, and of true believers who cling to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The Church exists to praise, worship, and serve God. Jesus Christ who is the head of the Church gave the awesome task of carrying the gospel into all the world. The Holy Spirit empowers and equips the Church to proclaim the words of God, the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, and to baptize, making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)
8. The Bible. We believe and teach that the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. Since it was inspired by Him, it is also innerant. It is reliable in all it's parts and is the only trustworthy guide for our faith, teaching, and conduct.

Then I will rejoice in the LORD. I will be glad because he rescues me. I will praise him from the bottom of my heart: "LORD, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the weak and helpless from the strong? Who else protects the poor and needy from those who want to rob them?"Psalm 35:9-10 NLT
