The seating capacity varies with the seasons. Winter seating is limited to 275 people. During the spring, summer, and fall the seating capacity is 325 people, which includes seating 50 guests on our patios, weather permitting.
We specialize in a la carte fine dining, Sunday champagne buffet brunch, weddings & rehearsal dinners, banquets, and special events, with accommodations for ten to 325 people.

On-Site Herb & Produce Gardens
The Greenbriar Inn is proud to feature fresh herbs and produce grown in our own seasonal 6,000 sq ft on site gardens. We are committed to exceptional fresh food and the environment by growing our natural produce using high density farming with organic fertilizers, minimizing our waste by composting all organic matter produced by the restaurant, and recycling everything from glass bottles to our vegetable oil for biodiesel. Feel free to check out our gardens on your next visit!

The Greenbriar Inn was built in 1873 as a home, general store, and post office for the town of Altona, which was a supply and transportation center for the miners of Left Hand Canyon, Jamestown, and Ward. The post office closed in 1916 after mining activity declined. In the early 1920's, the general store was converted into a gas station, which operated until the early 1960s. In 1967, the property was sold and transformed into The Greenbriar Inn. Today, The Greenbriar Inn continues a 42-year tradition of exceptional cuisine and elegant service.
