Dr. Rheaume grew up in Pueblo, attending South High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado State University-Pueblo. He went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at the Veterans Administration Hospital and the University of Arizona Hospital and Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Rheaume is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Board Certified doctors in all specialties must demonstrate knowledge and ability in their specific medical field, and are required to test on a regular basis in order to maintain Board Certification. He's a past president and still active Board member of the Colorado Podiatric Medical Association.
The doctor is very dedicated to increasing his knowledge through continuing medical education. Theses are often short, intensive lectures or laboratory training sessions focusing on advances in medicine or new treatment techniques.
Dr. Rheaume's philosophy is to use the most advanced medical treatments to resolve foot and ankle problems before surgery becomes a consideration.
