Formerly known as "GRAPPLER'S EDGE", Edge MMA & Fitness is Colorado's First and Formost Grappling, Jiu Jitsu and MMA Academy.
Edge MMA & Fitness (Grappler's Edge) was established in 1995, and is home of the 15 Time Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling Team Champions!
Our Team Member's have competed in the UFC, The Ultimate Fighter, Pride, Pancrase, ADCC and the World Grappling Championships. They've also competed in events all over the United States, as well as Brazil, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and U.A.E.
Team Edge proved once again who the top Grappling Team in the region is by dominating the competition at the Rocky Mountain Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (RMBJJF)'s "5th Annual National Cup" held on Oct. 16, 2010 at Arvada High School, Arvada, CO.
Team Edge entered 8 Competitors, and came home with 11 medals (and 8 of them GOLD)!!!

At the last minute, we decided to take a few competitors to the "Fight To Win Nationals" Grappling Championships at the Magnus Arena at Denver University on July 24, 2010.
So, we took 6 Competitors... and came home with 7 Medals!!!
Individual Winners were:
Team Edge DOMINATED the competition at the GRAPPLING X (Grappling Experience) Tournament at Adams City High School, Commerce City, CO on July 11, 2010...
We won 5 of the 6 Gold Medals, plus 2 Silvers in the Advanced Division... Plus another Gold and a Bronze in the Beginner's Division!!!
The USA Won their 4th World Grappling Team Title @ the FILA Grappling World Championships in Krakow, Poland, March 27, 2010. Capturing Golds were Denny Prokopos, 65kg & Mario Renaldi, Mens Absolute, Lisa Ward 50kg & Jessica Aguilar, 55kg. The U.S. also won 4 bronze medals, earned by: Zach Makovsky 60kg, Mike Kelly 75 ...kg, Tom LeCuyer 70kg, & Tara LaRrosa, 60kg. Tara also won a Silver in the Women's Absolute!!!
Team USA also took 2nd place in the Gi division at the FILA World Grappling Championships in Krakow, Poland, March 27, 2010. Capturing Golds were Jessica Aguilar 55kg, Zach Makovsky 60kg, Brian Mahecha 65kg, Scott Garcia 80kg & Mario Renaldi, Mens Absolute. The U.S. also won 2 bronze medals, earned by: Lisa Ward 50kg & Jeff Funicello 90kg!!!
Edge's Bahar Shahidi, Shane Cross & Brandon Ruiz all qualified to compete for the U.S. Team, but weren't able to make the trip due to professional conflicts.
Edge Coach Sheldon Marr was one of the U.S. Coaches for the World Championships (for the 4th year in a row)!
Team Edge proves once again to be one of the top Grappling Teams in the USA by winning their 7th straight (8th overall) Pancrase USA Team Title (and their 15th U.S. National Grappling and/or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team Title to date), by winning the 2010 PANCRASE USA NATIONAL SUBMISSION WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS on March 13, 2010, in Broomfield, Colorado.
Edge Coach Sheldon Marr was awarded "The Ozaki Cup" and Team Edge were recognised as the "Pancrase USA National Team Champions".
