Children's Depot Childcare Centers

Children's Depot childcare centers of Colorado Springs offer affordable developmental child care, focusing on the individual growth and development of each child, from birth to school age.
Children's Depot has three licensed, locally owned and operated childcare locations. We have been in business in Colorado Springs since 1994.
Full-time, Part-time, Hourly, and Drop-in Child Care
We believe recognition of individualized development is what sets Children's Depot apart from other childcare centers. Each class, starting at infant age, follows a specific curriculum throughout the year.
We offer individualized, age-appropriate and developmentally correct child care education and day care programs for infants, toddlers, transition, and pre-school children.
For school-age children (Kindergarten through 5th grade), we offer before and after school programs as well as a very active summer camp program.
We Put Safety First
We adhere strictly to state regulations regarding the ratio of teachers to children at each age level.
Each of our lead teachers holds a degree or is state-certified. Our staff members are First Aid/CPR certified and have been trained to administer medication by our pediatric nurse.
We provide innovations such as computerized sign-in, security cameras, and phones in each room so parents can speak directly with their children's teachers at any time.
All our locations are Peanut FREE.

Dave and Karen Gardner
The owners, Dave and Karen Gardner, are very active in all the centers. Children's Depot is important to them because they are concerned about quality child care and the education of young minds.
Karen has been devoted to the education and caring of young children for 40 years. Moving around the country with her husband's military assignments, she has worked in many different kinds of childcare operations. She owned an in-home childcare center and has Montessori experience, both European and American. At Children's Depot, Karen teaches and manages the staff. She loves children and they love her— she has a way with kids that is a true gift.
Dave is the Director at Vickers and the business manager for all three centers. He has a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in business. He retired after 27 years as a helicopter pilot and air traffic control officer with the Army and Air Force.

All childcare centers are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Tours are available any time. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.
