Jim Johnson has been a Denver-based commercial photographer for many years, spanning several decades of advertising photography, architectural photography, aerial photography, industrial photography, product photography, hotel photography, and fine art B&W photography. Jim shoots with the latest digital technology, although he still retains the capability to shoot with film if necessary.

Colorado Aerial Photography

A licensed pilot since 1979, Jim loves to fly and is uniquely qualified to put the airplane where it needs to be for the best possible aerial photography. Jim has also spent more than a thousand hours shooting from helicopters just during the past three years.

Location Photography Nationwide

In addition to working in Colorado, Jim Johnson has shot nationwide, with assignments in more than six hundred cities throughout the U.S.He is a travel-savvy location photography expert.
Jim works comfortably with studio lighting in the studio or on location, and with existing light anywhere.The photographs in the following galleries represent his sense of form and design as revealed by light, and his ability to translate that into the final image.
