What’s the difference?
Further Adventures is by far the most customer service oriented rafting company in the San Juan region. We do not skimp on the details.
For ALL rafting trips, Further Adventures provides free of charge:
Transportation to and from river, Full Wet Suits, Cold water booties, PFD (Personal Floatation Device), Helmet (on request), Splash Jackets, Gourmet Lunch (Full Day), Quality Snack (Half Day)

Further Adventures is by far the most customer service oriented fishing outfitter in the San Juan region. We do not skimp on the details. Your guide can take you to the sweetest fishing spots along the San Miguel River, a wild running river through pristine riparian habitat or to private water sites along the anglers’ favorite Dolores River. Rediscover old Colorado at the Centennial Ranch, a classic Colorado Ranch along the Uncompaghre (hyperlink to description of Uncompahgre river below). In early season we have the ultimate hiding place of the “giants” (20-40” trout!) at the Gurley Inlet.

Telluride has long been a Mecca for mountain bikers. The Lizard Head and Galloping Goose trails are classic single track bike trails, with some jeep roads appropriate for beginners to intermediate riders. Thrill seekers and advanced riders can push their skills on our classic single track rides along Mill Creek or Deep Creek. Mellow trails follow the river and valley floor for those wanting just to cruise on their own or to take children along for a ride. The person looking for total immersion may want to spend an overnight at Alta Lakes Observatory and explore far reaching trails that wind through the wilderness with their guide.
Half day tours include bikes, helmets, rain jackets if needed, snacks, juice or sodas and water. Full Day Adventures include all that PLUS gourmet picnic lunch. Pick ups can be arranged at either our Oak street, Telluride Further Adventures Desk and bike rental shop or at our Mountain Village Center BootDoctors Shop.

At Further Adventures we pride ourselves with presenting high-quality, safe, environmentally-conscious, fun adventures. We make sure you are comfortable, well-fed, and grinning from ear-to-ear when you return. We offer a wide variety of naturalist tours along the multitude of trails that abound in the San Juan Mountain range. We can custom design each tour to meet your interests such as flora and fauna, waterfalls, geology, medicinal plants, history, general information about the area or other focus. Trips can be designed to also meet your level of fitness and adaptation to altitude. Whether you are a proverbial “mountain goat” ready to leap up the mountains or are just looking for more of a stroll in this magnificent landscape, we will make sure your tour matches your abilities.
