Hi! Thanks for visiting our website. We are Amy and Dawna and this is Rendezvous Quilts. We are located in the north metro Denver area. We offer professional longarm quilting services to help you to finish your special project. We have been in business since January 2007 and have finished over 300 quilts on our Gammill longarm machine. Together we have more than 20 years of quilting experience. We are members of IMQA (The International Machine Quilting Association). Annually we attend quilting conferences, seminars and international quilt shows all over the United States to keep us up to date on the latest advances in the machine quilting industry. We have taken quilting classes from renowned quilters such as Linda Taylor, Pam Clarke, Karen McTavish and Kim Brunner, among many others.
About our service
We offer a wide variety of quilting types from simple cost effective stippling to intricate specialized custom quilting and everything in between. As you navigate through our website, you will see many of the available designs. If you dont see what youre looking for, just ask, and we can probably do that too!
Prices are estimated on the size of your quilt by the square inch. To figure out the size of your quilt, measure the length of the quilt multiplied by the width of your quilt. For example, if your quilt is 70 inches x 70 inches, your square inches would be 4900. An all over large stipple is 1 cent per square inch and your cost would be $49.00. Every quilt does have a $35.00 minimum.
(width x length x cost per square inch = cost of quilting)
Pressing and binding are not included in the quilting prices but are available upon request.
After machine quilting is complete, your quilt will be trimmed to remove excess fabric and backing, unless otherwise requested.
Preparing your Quilt to be quilted
We provide the thread
Do not pre-pin or baste your quilt layers together (we need all 3 layers separate from one another)
Rendezvous Quilts is not responsible for tucks in the quilting due to fullness in the piecing process.
Mark top of quilt, if desired, with masking tape or a pin.
Include fabric for binding if you would like us to apply the binding.
The top should be free of embellishments such as buttons and beads.
A row of stay stitching, applied inch or less from the edge of the quilt, will prevent stretching and will keep seams that extend to the edges from separating..
Please trim off the selvage edges before seaming your backing. Sides should be straight, and the backing squared. Bed sheets are usually not suitable because of their high thread count.
Yes! We do bindings too! We charge 10 cents per linear inch for machine applied bindings. For example, a quilt that is 70 x 70 would be 280 linear inches, which would be $28.00.
