With over 40 years leading the Durango cycling community, Mountain Bike Specialists is the premier bike shop in the Four Corners area. Offering outstanding product lines like Specialized, ,Santa Cruz and Niner. We've created an historical cycling museum in-house because we've been the home and inspiration to many of the greatest cyclists of all time!
Over the years, the Durango area and Mountain Bike Specialists have developed a reputation for offering some of the best riding Colorado has to offer. From Mountain Bike Magazine to Bicycling Magazine, our area has been dubbed a "cycling mecca.". Mountain Bike Specialists was singled out by Bicycle Retailer & Industry News as a "top cycling retailer". Owner Ed Zink is a Durango native and a major contributor to the southwest Colorado cycling scene, with over 35 years spent at the heart of Durango's cycling community. He has coordinated dozens of races, including the World Championships in 1990, the annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic (now in its 39th year,) and the NORBA Nationals.

Durango is truly a unique town, and nothing adds to its character better than the colorful cyclists that call Durango home. Lucky for MBS, we get to rub shoulders with many cycling celebrities that make the industry so much fun, including Bob Roll (a long time road racer turned-commentator,) World Champion Ned Overend, and Olympians Travis Brown and Ruthie Mathes. Chances are if you stop by the shop during peak hours, you're bound to run into some of the pros!
