Surround yourself with a phenomenal collection of visual images created for and inspired by the music you love!
The Art of Rock and Roll ® is the visual art created for and inspired by rock and roll music. It takes on many forms and is created by artists, musicians and photographers in the music industry. Bill and Laura Eveleigh opened Walnut Street Gallery in 1989 and quickly discovered that this new genre of art touched many who had never thought of collecting fine art before. Our collectors wanted to surround themselves with the visual reminders of the music they loved, and for this reason The Art of Rock and Roll ® was born!
As you peruse our site you will find in our Musicians section the fine art created by the founding member and bass player for The Who , John Entwistle ; the art of Bon Jovi’s drummer Tico Torres; the computer generated art created by Bill Kreutzmann and prints by Jerry Garcia , both of The Grateful Dead. Additionally, you will find artwork created by Michael Cartellone , the drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd; a special print created by Carlos Santana; the works of Marty Balin the voice of Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship and the works of Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

The Photography section of the site is fantastic and has the largest collection of works. It contains rock photos by the music industries most respected photographers, as well as some of the most promising new talent in the music industry. This section spans 4 decades beginning with the classic rock photos by Baron Wolman , the first chief photographer for Rolling Stone Magazine and the images by San Francisco photographers Jay Blakesberg and Herb Greene. Among the many photographers that Walnut Street Gallery represents you will find rock concert pictures by Ebet Roberts, Paul Natkin, J. Bloomrosen and Kirk Anderson. The music photography section includes jam bands like the Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic, festival photography beginning with Woodstock in 1969, rock concert photos of bands like The Rolling Stones and intimate portraits of Joni Mitchell, Emily Lou Harris, Dave Mathews and many more.
Walnut Street Gallery has a collection of rare original works of art by Beatle’s animator Ron Campbell; photographic images from the prestigious Hulton Archives; and Album Cover Art for The Grateful Dead.
The web site’s alter ego is as exciting as The Art of Rock and Roll ®. In the Fine Art section you will find the artwork created by Theodor Seuss Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss. The collection of Dr. Seuss artwork ranges from his children’s book illustrations to his secret art and whimsical sculptures. The gallery also represents the contemporary landscape artist Eyvind Earle . Earle worked for over a decade as one of Disney’s chief background animators – he was instrumental in creating the backgrounds for Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp, as well as creating five large murals for the park. The last 30 years of his life he created a prolific collection of landscapes and is considered to be the Artist of the 21st Century. The website has a Merchandise section that has rock and roll books, posters and collectables and we now have a Replay section in which we show previously owned art often at lower prices than the current value of the art. Also, be sure you don't miss the Art on Sale section for some smashing deals!
So hop on our magic bus and enjoy the visual art created for and inspired by The Art of Rock and Roll®. This is your chance to own a piece of Rock and Roll history!
