Joseph H. Thibodeau, P.C. is a firm of five lawyers three associates, each with a Masters in Tax Law (LL.M.) and one of-counsel attorney, a former IRS Special Agent whose practice is limited to the administrative and judicial resolution of tax controversies, civil and criminal, state and federal.
Its founder, Joseph H. Thibodeau, began practicing in 1966 as a trial attorney, under the attorney general's Honors Program in the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice. Mr. Thibodeau began private practice in Denver in 1972 and in 1979 formed Joseph H. Thibodeau, P.C.
For nearly thirty-eight years Mr. Thibodeau has primarily limited his practice to tax controversy resolution. Mr. Thibodeau is a frequent lecturer on tax related topics for the American Bar Association (ABA), as well as state and local bar associations and, since 1983, has been an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program.
Mr. Thibodeau is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, the Whose Who In Practicing Attorneys, and is among the "Top 100 lawyers in Denver" according to 5280 Magazine. Mr. Thibodeau is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC).
