What makes us different?
After receiving her license to practice physical therapy in 1982, Colorado Center for Physical Therapy owner Erma Pacheco and her husband James began the study of neuromuscular therapy (NMT), an ultra-specific deep tissue therapy which provided advanced knowledge of how to palpate and restore the health of connective tissues (fascia, muscles, ligaments, tendons) with the goal of improving circulation while reducing nervous system stress and tension. NMT techniques proved to be helpful to all areas of the body, but in particular, the most challenging areas to access. This included the pelvic floor, hip, low back, sacroiliac, TMJ, and anterior neck regions.
After receiving their NMT certification in 1988, the Pacheco's began to combine neuromuscular therapy techniques with Traditional Physical Therapy. This caught the attention of referring doctors, who, to this day send many of their most challenging cases to the Colorado Center for Physical Therapy for evaluation and treatment.
Over the course of 20 years, we hand picked a series of traditional and natural health methods to aid:
We provide service to people of all walks, from kids to seniors and offer you choice. If you prefer a more traditional approach to physical therapy (PT), we can provide that for you. If your therapist determines that you would benefit from natural health modalities such as therapeutic massage, rehabilitative Pilates, or yoga therapy, we can provide that too. If a combination of traditional PT and natural health approaches would benefit you most, we are at your service!
The Colorado Center for Physical Therapy has recently added:
Specialized Physical Therapy for pelvic floor, hip & low back pain syndromes
A state of the art spine strengthening system developed in Germany
Feldenkrais Method (neuromuscular re-education & movement therapy)
